Climatora, a climate action company headquartered in Mumbai has signed an MOU with Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU) to introduce skill based climate study modules that will help nurture talent for the upcoming green jobs in the country.
The MOU was signed by Debadutta Upadhyaya, partner, Climatora, with Vice Chancellor of MSSU Dr Apoorva Palkar in the presence of Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Maharashtra. Shailesh Amonkar, partner, Climatora and Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of General Administration, Government of Maharashtra graced the occasion.
The module would be introduced to students from Under Graduate Level and will bear credits that are transferable. The 30-45 hours duration modules would be a combination of lecture, practicum, field visits and OJT (On The Job Training) with internship opportunities and a capstone project set as the main qualifier. The course modules would be introduced in the academic calendar 2023-24.
