Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has achieved a significant milestone by commissioning a 200 MW Solar Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This endeavor marks a substantial contribution to India’s renewable energy landscape.

Generating Green Energy and Reducing Carbon Footprints

The newly commissioned project is anticipated to generate approximately 485 million units of green energy annually. This substantial output is expected to offset over 3,88,000 tonnes of carbon footprints, showcasing the project’s environmental impact and commitment to sustainability.

Integration into the Central Transmission Utility

TP Saurya Ltd (TPSL), a subsidiary of TPREL, spearheaded the commissioning of this solar project. Situated in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the project will be integrated into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus, ensuring efficient distribution of clean energy across the region. This integration is pivotal in maximizing the project’s reach and impact.

Expanding Renewable Energy Capacity

With the addition of this project, TPREL’s total renewables capacity has now reached an impressive 9,018 MW, with 7,632 MW under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). This includes projects in various stages of implementation, further solidifying TPREL’s position as a critical player in the renewable energy sector.
